i've been using it for about 2 weeks, it has really help my post acne redness ect but im on the pill to clear my skin, will it be possible to clear my skin without any pills ??Will pro-activ solution completely clear my skin?
Hi Vivien! I was on pro-active for 10 months, so I feel like I know enough to speak about it. Like with most people that tried it, I had good results, but it was new and still fairly expensive at that time. Now there are great deals on pro-active. I decided to stop using it, because of the cost and my face became worse than it ever was before. After I discontinued it, I got big nodules under my skin and had to see a dermatologist, which cost me more money. I thought I was alone, but I started researching other users of pro-active and found a pattern just like that. If you don't stay on the product, your skin gets worse. Also, some people reported that after long term use, it just didn't work anymore and back came the acne. Before your skin gets used it, I would stop using it. That's just my opinion. Iam on the pill now and my skin is doing great. With the pill, you should definitely see an improvement, just give it time. There are also many benefits to using the pill, besides helping with acne.
I think pro-active is one of the worse things on the market. It gives you immediate results, but there are adverse effects when you stop usage. They push the product with celebrities now and those people are using other means to control their acne, not just pro-active. My dermatologist put me on a medication called Duac. It's a cream, that doesn't dry you out and I had great results with it. It's not harsh like many of the other acne products and you can apply it over your moisturizer. If you need another alternative, it's a great one to try and a tube lasts a very long time. Right now, I think using the pill will be sufficient, like I said - give your body time to adjust. Also, get a good exfoliator, plus a great face wash like cetaphil %26amp; use an oil free moisturizer like neutrogena. It helps keep blackheads %26amp; acne under control. Always wash your face before bed at night to get rid of any excess oil and drink lots of water. I hope this helps.
