Neutrogena acne solutions vs clean and clear advantage?

i would like 2 knw which is better based on real ppl not thru commercials. both claim to be better than proactive but neither say abt the other. i dont want 2 use proavtive at all nd mi acne varies sometimes its a bunch on mi forehead nd sumtimes its only a lil. im 15 yrs old nd mi oily areas are the t-zone nd around mi nose. can anybody tell me which of the 2 products is better?

The Neutrogena Advanced Solutions kit works AWESOME for me. I used to use ProActiv and it worked wonderfully as well but it was just too much for me to pay $60 a month to have it delivered and sometimes the shipment would be late and that would cause my acne to show up again. I switched to the Neutrogena Advanced Solutions because it's cheaper and more accessible (available in stores). Turns out, it worked way faster than ProActiv and delivered just as good results.





But, before you can figure out what will work best for your skin, you need to know how sensitive it is. Most acne products are made with one of two active ingredients : salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. Salicylic acid products are weaker and less drying. They are meant for minor breakouts and extremely sensitive skin. Benzoyl peroxide products are stronger, work faster and are meant for moderate to severe acne issues. Benzoyl peroxide products will dry out sensitive skin.





You can test out if benzoyl peroxide products irritate your skin by buying an inexpensive cleanser like Clearasil. Wash a small area of your face, where you break out, for a few days and see if it gets red, itchy or worse. If it does, you are allergic to benzoyl peroxide.





Products you can use that do not have benzoyl peroxide :





ProActiv (they have a salicylic acid treatment for sensitive skin. Make sure you order the correct one. The other system has benzoyl peroxide). ProActiv WILL NOT scar your face. As a matter of fact, it lightens your skin, making old acne scars disappear. Anyone who has claimed to have their face ';scarred'; by ProActiv was allergic to benzoyl peroxide and continued to use the product even though it irritated their skin.





Clean and Clear Advantage (the link you posted). The cleanser is benzoyl peroxide but the other two steps are salicylic acid so it shouldn't irritate your skin too much.





If you are not allergic to benzoyl peroxide, you are in luck because products with that ingredient work so much better. As I said before, the Neutrogena system works beautifully. I love it and I would not recommend it if I didn't know for sure it works. I know how much it sucks to have blemishes on your face all the time.





If your parents can afford to take you to a dermatologist, that's the best thing to do. If not, and you are not allergic to benzoyl peroxide, go for the Neutrogena system.Neutrogena acne solutions vs clean and clear advantage?
Well I used proactive at first and it works but then it stops working after a while and someone told me that it like scars your face. And neutrogena I also used and it jus made me break out even more so I wld go wid Clean and Clear.
I agree. I prefer the Neutrogena Wave aswell. It really does work for me too.





Other cleaners just make the skin dry and patchy.
Neutrogena all the way.


I only use Neutrogena and I have very few breakouts.


Plus it's pretty well priced.
im useing bothe atm and all so i think neutrogena is better, it makes my acne go away and stuff but it makes my skin really dry
