Are There Any Solutions/Inventions To Clear the Haze In Singapore?

The haze situation in Singapore is getting from bad to worse, and it's not the first time in which forest fires from Indonesia have caused other parts of the region to be blanketed in smog, causing health problems to the people living in the haze-affected areas.

Are there any other solutions (other than of course, telling sumatra to do something about their forest fires, which there hasnt been much progress) to clear this haze situation from the skies? since, probably, this will not be the last time forest fires are blatantly let loose in sumatra. we need some defence too.

Example:

- induce rain?

- construct some gigantic air purifier

- any other mechanisms?

at least if we cant prevent forest fires, let's have something to clear our skies.

any answers? scientists? meterologists? A*star people??

let's do something, singaporeans, and not just sit and inhale the particles. Are There Any Solutions/Inventions To Clear the Haze In Singapore?
Perhaps a mass guillotine can be devised to behead the corrupt politicians, government officials, land and estate owners who initiated this silent massacre of the South East Asians.

The haze is almost an annual event, yet no crucial step is done about it.

I really hope a global trade sanction or an international tribunal can be brought against Indonesia and other countries involved.

Poor farmers are not the culprits, instead I belive they are the victims. The main conspirators are those super-rich companies hiding behind powerful political heads. Are There Any Solutions/Inventions To Clear the Haze In Singapore?
Talk is cheap...anyone can do it... Why don鈥檛 you suggest something even more constructive? How abut, volunteering yourself to go there, do teaching to the farmers and villagers around the forests areas, how to cultivate the land into something productive? Since the government is not dependable?

And as they are using the land for better purpose and no burning process, they could also help to guard the forest or their farm land from those illegal burning鈥??

Not to say mean things or any bad remarks but let me state you a fact. Singapore is seriously small size compare to Indonesia.

The government of Singapore able to have the funding to place cameras everywhere to better watches the safety of the area. Indonesia forest is so large and huge, how do you want them to guard it? Who will cover the expenses?

Theoretically, Singapore geographically position has been one of the best luck in the world. You wouldn鈥檛 like to have the taste of frequent earth quakes and disasters of other country鈥?. Think well before you speak. Dont take where and what you live now for granted.

the indonesian governement could start to enforce the laws they got on the books
That sounds horrible. I am an environmentalist and not only do I not like to see the forrests burned and the air poluted but I don't like to see the health ramifications from the smoke being inhaled. Something must be done and I think all countries should jump in and help. This can and does happen in many countries and their are no controls. Inventions to blow the smoke away solves your dillema but it cause another nearby to have the problem. Someone needs to make sure the country causing the problems get penialized in someway for causing polution. If we talk money her it gets reaction. When you have to pay fines you will change. That is the only way we can try to keep all countries responsible enough to stop the polution of mother earth. Or we will all be living in bubbles and that time is coming in the next century.
I from Singapore too.

I live in Yishun.

Me all nid to wait until its rain.

I hope its going to rain.
I'm embarrassed to be an Indonesian. Corrupted government ignored the fact that companies/people that are causing fire need to be punished/jailed.
